Atlanta-based Baker Audio Visual was selected to provide and install audiovisual systems for the Mercedes-Benz Stadium which opened in the summer of 2017. Although it is commonly known as the new home for the Atlanta Falcons, this iconic stadium also serves as the new home of the MLS team, Atlanta United, as well as Atlanta’s premier entertainment venue. Mercedes-Benz Stadium offers fans a “smarter” game day experience that sets them apart from any other professional sports and entertainment venue in the world.

Future of The Industry

It was important to the Falcons’ ownership to be able to create AV experiences that were not only relevant now, but also had staying power to amaze ten years down the road. In order to bring that dream to life, the Falcons selected Baker Audio Visual, IBM, and WJHW to envision and build an infrastructure that houses all technologies within the stadium including main bowl audio, audio for all of the prestigious clubs, 190 suites, 4 locker rooms, 2 interview rooms, boardroom, and 17 conference rooms. Baker AV was also responsible for providing elements of the post-game interview spaces and press area that bring the game from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and into millions of homes.

Now that the doors have opened and operations are in full swing, die-hard Falcons and United fans will be treated to a melding of both the physical and digital aspects of the game that creates a fully immersive experience.
